W6BBS central California beacon page

This page is a work in progress, as Frank (W6BBS) is just beginning work on a beacon system located on his property in Coarsegold (Calif.). Currently there are beacons in operation (on 432.275 and 144.275 MHz) signing W6BBS/b, about 25w or so using an omni antenna. Frank and Mike (K6MYC) are working on getting beacons for most of the Bozonet bands in place, adding 222.275 and 1296.275 as surplus components and supporting equipment can be found.

What they need the most are unused radios, transmitters or transverters which could be used to cover those bands they do not yet have in place. Equipment doesn’t need to be in great condition, but hopefully working or at least repairable.
